Greg Briggs, a native of Independence Missouri, has been an active performer and educator in the Kansas City area for over 35 years. Accomplished on all of the woodwind instruments, he is in demand as a performer and teacher. Greg maintains an active teaching studio with his private students earning honors in local District Bands and the Missouri All State Band. Several of his students have gone on to pursue careers in music as performers and educators.

Greg has had the privilege of having a very versatile performing career. He has served as principal oboist for the Philharmonia of Greater Kansas City, pit musician for numerous Broadway touring productions at Starlight Theatre and the Music Hall, as an extra with the Kansas City Symphony, various jazz ensembles in the region, and participated in numerous recordings.

Greg currently serves as wind arranger and saxophonist for the very popular regional band Lost Wax, and has done numerous arrangements for a variety of ensembles in the area, including the Kansas City Chamber Orchestra.
